About the Presenter(s)

Your presenter is Maria Zavala-Paredes, a Housing Program Coordinator at Telamon Corporation’s Housing and Financial Empowerment Program, a non-profit multi state organization.  The office, located in Paw Paw Michigan, serves the tri-county area (Van Buren, Berrien, Cass).

Mrs. Zavala-Paredes earned her bachelor’s degree in Communication Arts and Sciences from Michigan State University. She has over 20 years’ experience working in the non-profit arena.  She is bilingual in English and Spanish.  She is a Housing & Urban Development (HUD) Certified Housing Counselor, and Certified as a Financial Coach through the Neighbor Works Center for Homeownership Education and Counseling (NCHEC). Maria has 10 years of experience assisting families with their personal finances, building and repairing credit, managing debt, and directing them on the path to homeownership.

Upon industries reopening and employees returning to work following the COVID19 pandemic, you will need to prepare for the impact your debt has caused.  In this workshop, you will walk away with tools and resources to help you manage incurred debt during the pandemic.
