< Return to the Resource Library

About the Presenter(s)

Katie is a Southwest Michigan native, graduating from Berrien Springs and Western Michigan University with a degree in public relations and minor in psychology.

She works as the account director at Holt Bosse after starting at Perry Ballard Incorporated in 2010 as a program strategist. She specializes in tourism clients and social media campaigns and works for clients like the Southwestern Michigan Tourist Council and Silver Beach Carousel. In past roles prior to working for Holt Bosse, she sold outdoor advertising and was a consultant for a market research firm specializing in nonprofits and United Ways. Promoting tourism comes naturally - Katie has also worked at a local restaurant for more than a decade and loves Southwest Michigan for all its wonderful beaches, the Makers Trail, local produce and our charming downtowns.

Okay, no one knows (and never has) what the future holds. But the first step to plan where you’re going is to figure out where you are. Our presenter, Katie White from Holt Bosse, has spent weeks watching and analyzing tell-tale signs to figure out what’s beyond this white-knuckle tourism curve we’re on right now. She will share her international and local industry analysis so you’ll learn what’s happening, what’s working and what’s not. Then you’ll see how these industry insights can help us predict what will play out for local tourism this summer. The road signs are there … you just need to read them …
